ESG 101 - An introduction and starting with Governance

Thursday 21st October

2:00pm - 3:00pm

Online

Environmental, social and governance (ESG) concerns have been moving up the corporate agenda. Driven by a greater public awareness and an increase in interest from the investment community, expectations are growing that firms have clear ESG policies and programs in place.

But what does ESG cover? And where might you start as an organization?

In this session, we will give a short introduction to ESG, including definitions and key frameworks that are in place. We will also focus on Governance as a critical first step to get right – so you are clear on what approach you take to ESG, what you invest and, crucially, how you track results.

The key points we will cover are:

  • An introduction to ESG
  • Current regulations and frameworks
  • Defining ESG - what it means to businesses
  • Starting from governance – why getting the G right is a critical first step
