Joy Morozov

Joy Morozov is a multilingual seasoned practitioner with over 25 years of experience in generating outstanding growth for previous employers in the for-profit and non-profit sectors including, The Economist Group, Financial Times Business, and Light for the World where she built a solid understanding of international NGOs, foundations, and trusts, and the corporate sectors.

At Light for the World, an international NGO, Joy forged partnerships with philanthropic organizations to mobilize funds for programs aimed at strengthening health systems and enabling people with disabilities to thrive in low-income countries.

Meet the panelists below

Anand Shukla

Anand is Chief Executive of the Henry Smith Charity, one of the UK’s largest grant giving foundations. He is a governor at Coventry University and a Clore Social Leadership Fellow.

Anand’s extensive leadership experience at executive and non-executive level spans the civil society, public and higher education sectors.

He was the Chief Executive of Brightside between 2015 and 2020 – a mentoring charity that works with 10,000 young people from disadvantaged backgrounds every year. Previously, he led Daycare Trust and Family and Childcare Trust which advocate for high-quality universal childcare and support for families across the UK.

Anand was the chair of the governing body of his children’s primary school and has also served as a Non-Executive Director at the Social Investment Business. He is currently a Trustee at the Richard Thornton Foundation.

Anand grew up in Walsall in the West Midlands. In his early career, he worked in private sector publishing for Reed Elsevier, Butterworths and Lexis- Nexis and has also worked for the children’s charity Barnardo’s.

Lily Harriss

Lily is passionate about providing access to arts and education. She has 30 years of senior management experience, including strategic leadership, operational management, public engagement and communications and income generation (including philanthropic, venue, partnership, public grants, and other income). Past experiences include developing high-performing and diverse teams, delivering robust operational and communications strategies, and managing senior volunteer structures (Boards, Committees, and Leadership Volunteers). Success was produced using a collaborative management approach, involving many stakeholders and sharing success at all levels.
