There are over 1 million trustees giving of their time to ensure that charities succeed. Understanding their role is key to delivering charitable purpose to the best effect. Whether you are thinking about becoming a trustee, have started your journey, or are in need of refreshing your skills, our practical and user-friendly session will help you understand what you are taking on and what running a charity is really all about, including - your role - your legal responsibilities - your fiduciary duties - your liabilities - insurance - the regulators - governance - best practice - trustee induction - trustee succession planning - the role of the chair - founder’s syndrome - the benefits There will also be opportunities to raise questions and share experiences. The training will be delivered by Michele Price, a Legal 500 recognised charity lawyer with a wealth of experience, in house and in private practice, of advising charities of all sizes.
